About Me

My photo

I'm a London-based chartered Civil Engineer, keenly interested in understanding and helping to realise a future where we waste less, are more thoughtful in our transport options and enjoy life to the full together.

My interests revolve around sustainable solutions, family, communities, nature and sport; and include wind / water power (especially tidal), maritime engineering, Arsenal, cycling and walking.

I record some of what I'm interested in on twitter, on a learning log and a cycle blog.

News - Pilot ICE CPD online resource

ICE have created a pilot website for CPD... "CPD lectures" is a service dedicated to improving and upgrading the skills and knowledge of civil engineers the world over, through recording and disseminating of ICE knowledge transfer events. It brings together under one portal key ICE regional knowledge events, occurring both in the UK and abroad, so that more members can benefits from them at their convenience, online.

...Not sure if that means the archived lectures on the main ice site will be removed if this moves away from being a pilot but at present they are not all covered in both places!
